My Daily Skincare Routine

My Daily Skincare Routine title image. Behind the text is a photo of different skincare products

I can’t remember when I last did a skincare routine post. There are probably some things that stayed the same as I’ve got some old favourites that I’ve been using for years,  but I have recently found some new products my skin loves. It’s taken me ages to get a regular routine, I’m nearly thirty and it’s only been the past couple of years I’ve had a proper daily routine.

My skin can definitely be difficult at times. It’s acne prone, combination and sensitive but definitely goes on the dry side over oily when it comes to the combination part. I do like trying new products but I tend to find that it takes a while for my skin to get used to them so I’m trying to stick to a few favourites, though one of the moisturisers in the Holland and Barrett advent calendar has made such a difference it’s in my go to list now.

Blogmas Days 15 to 17: 3 days in 1!

A photo of homemade truffles behind the Blogmas title frameThis weekend was more exhausting than I thought and I was still catching up from the weekend before energy wise during the week so I wants as prepared and that means a bumper Blogmas blog post with three days worth of advent goodies in one! It was a great weekend visiting family and it was great catching up and seeing people from the other side of the family than last week but two weekends in a row and all that travelling really drained me. I’ll try to be more organised for the rest of Blogmas.

In the Holland and Barrett beauty advent calendar there were three very different gifts. One is something I’ve been needing to get to replace an old one, another is something that I’m looking forward to trying and the third is probably the first flop for me from this calendar so it’ll be passed on. The Harry Potter Funko Pop advent calendar had two figures in that are characters that already appeared in the advent calendar. I can get why Harry, Ron and Hermione would have duplicate figures but I’d still rather have some extras like Bellatrix or something.

Recent Purchases: Asos.com sale

asosorder2-1

On Sunday I made a small order on Asos.com, my main reason for doing this order was because I wanted to get a certain thing for mum’s birthday and it happened to be in stock so I jumped on it. It also just so happened that at the moment there is a sale on their website, it started on Sunday and I’m not sure when it’s finishing which is why I’m posting this today in case it’s tomorrow and any of you want to get anything in it. I think it’s on a lot of the beauty things, there are definitely a lot of brands in it like Nars and Paul and Joe, I don’t think many of the drugstore type brands are in it though. I didn’t make the order because of this sale but it did mean that one extra thing in the sale ended up in my basket and I am so glad it did as I think it’s so pretty and I love the colours, it seems like it’ll be a good travel palette as it’s so compact.

I am definitely going to be doing proper reviews on all three things I got so these are first impressions and why I bought them more than anything. I am itching to try the eyeshadows, though the imprint on it is so pretty and crisp it feels a bit wrong to mess it up and the sponge is something I’ve heard so much about I can’t wait to give it a proper go.
