The latest Fortune Cookie Soap Soap Box arrived on the weekend so, after trying everything out, today’s post is a mini review, first impressions type post for each of the upcoming Autumn scents. Fortune Cookie Soap are an American company that make bath and body products and their signature products it, unsurprisingly, a fortune cookie shaped soap. They release seasonal collections four times a year and these Soap Boxes are full of sample sizes of the upcoming scents in a range of products alongside two full sized products. Calling them sample sizes seems a bit mean considering the amount you get, they’re great travel sized minis and even the body butters can do more than one use if you’re careful with them.
As well as the seasonal collections often having the theme of the season, they also have a second theme. This time the theme is the movie Mean Girls which, I’ll be honest, I haven’t seen in a while so some of the references may go over my head. I was surprised at how many I actually got but fans of the movie will probably recognise everything. I do love how they use in jokes as well as the more well known references when it comes to these themes.
As this is the Autumn (Fall if you’re American) collection it isn’t actually available yet, the release date is August 18th at 6PM CST, I think that’s around midnight here in the UK. It’s worth either staying up late if you want something or waiting a bit as they often restock things a couple of weeks later and things sell out so fast.
Last Thursday the summer Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap arrived so I’ve had some time to play around with most of the products to see how they work. Fortune Cookie Soap are an American company that make bath and body products and, once every few months so each season, they release a main collection and you can see inscribe to their Soap Box so they send out a box full of said please and two full sized products, one in each of the upcoming scents.
Most seasons they tend to stay pretty much within the trends for that season but they also have a second theme and this one is one I love and am excited about as it’s Pirates of the Caribbean inspired with the name A Pirate’s Life for Me. You get six sample sizes and two full sized products. The ‘samples’ though are a pretty good size and you get multiple uses out if most of them, things like bath bombs and melts are one off but most have enough for multiple uses.
The Fortune Cookie Soap Soap Box for the Spring collection arrived on Friday. Though I was away for the weekend so didn’t post on it it also means I’ve had a bit of a play around with most of it to see what I think. Fortune Cookie Soap are a company based in the USA who make bath and body prod icy stone with their signature being the Soap in the shape of a fortune cookie, as you may have guessed. They release a Soap Box full of different products as a preview for their quarterly collections. These are available internationally though postage does put the price up if you’re outside the US.
This Spring the theme is ‘Be Our Guest’ so it’s Beauty and the Beast themed as well as most of the products being more spring like scents. It isn’t available at the moment but it will be launched on February 17th at 6pm CST (midnight in the U.K.) and I definitely recommend either getting there at the time of release or waiting a bit as they sell out fast but do normally get restocked.
It’s November and that means it’s the time of year when all the Christmas ranges are announced and released. It’s also time for the Fortune Cookie Soap Soap Box as the pre-release for the Christmas collection. If you haven’t heard of them Fortune Cookie Soap are an American company that sell bath and body products, with their signature product being a soap in the shape of a fortune cookie.
Their Soap Boxes are a quarterly subscription box that includes a range of products in all of the scents in the collection. They normally have a secondary theme alongside the general seasonal one and this Christmas it’s Narnia, which I love as I read those books a lot when I was growing up. This time there are eight scents all in this theme and this box has eight different products, including the full-sized fortune cookie soap and a hand sanitizer which you get in each box.
Late last week, Thursday morning I think, my Autumn Fortune Cookie Soap Soap Box arrived. I’ve had a play around with everything in there so it’s all been used and I know how well they work so I thought I’d do a review post about the products themselves as well as the scents. If you don’t know what the Fortune Cookie Soap Box is it’s a box of miniatures and sample or travel sized versions of products from the Fortune Cookie Soap company from America. You always get two full sized products in there; a Fortune Cookie Soap and a hand sanitizer, but the rest are minis and can be from any of the other products that they sell on their site. The scent are all previews of the next collection to be released in this case the Fall (or Autumn if you’re I the UK) collection.
Every quarter they release a new themed collection, often there’s a second theme alongside the season and this time it’s As You Wish which is Princess Bride themed. I realised that, although it’s on my list of movies to watch as I’ve been told it’s great, I haven’t actually watched this movie so I will probably be missing all of the references. Sorry about that. This range isn’t available at the moment but is being released on August 26th at 6pm CST (I think that’s midnight in the UK).
Also at the moment you can get the Halloween soap box as a one off, either in this style with miniatures or in one with full sized products, here. It’s a one off so even if you are signed up to the Soap Box already you need to do this as a separate order and it might be a good way of trying some of their products to see if your skin gets on with them without going for the full subscription. This does close on 19th August 12 noon (CST) so you only have a few days to do this.
I don’t really subscribe to any other beauty boxes but I do get this Soap Box from Fortune Cookie Soap, they release a box four times a year which has smaller products and samples of the scents for the seasonal collections not long before they release them. Fortune Cookie Soap are a cruelty free company from America who sell bath and body products and perfumes. The Soap Box includes eight products, two of them are full sized, and cover all of the scents in the upcoming range.
This season’s theme is Just Keep Swimming which is inspired by Finding Nemo and I think this may be one of my favourites yet. I love the packaging for the products and the names really go with the theme and the more well-known quotes or characters. As these arrived on Friday I’ve had a bit of a play around with everything and used everything. This collection will be released on May 20th 6pm CST, which I think it around midnight in the UK.
A while ago Fortune Cookie Soap did a Doctor Who themed collection, though it sold out so fast I didn’t get to buy any of it. They then did a sort of pre-order one where you ordered what you wanted and they made it. There were quite a few products in this collection and I did have more in my basket originally but the postage was so high it was getting to be £40 for postage alone, I ended up getting it down to four products from the range and one from the permanent line.
Other than the permanent product, the tea tree solid shampoo, the rest of these aren’t available at the moment but as there is an off chance they may bring it back at some point, they seem to do this with the most popular products appearing for a limited time a while after they were first released, I thought I’d do a mini review sort of thing for each one. I also find that most of their product types are fairly consistent so if you’re curious about their shower jellies then the way this one behaves is likely to be similar to others in the same product type. Unfortunately I have found it difficult to find anything with an actual scent description for these so I’m just going by what I smell, I’m not sure how accurate it will be to what it’s supposed to smell of but I’ll give it my best shot.
This morning my spring edition of the Fortune Cookie Soap Box arrived so I’m going to do a post about it now I’ve had a bit of a play around with some of the things. It’s more of a first impressions than a proper review but I have looked at everything.
If you haven’t heard of them before Fortune Cookie Soap are a company in the USA who make bath and body products and their signature product is the fortune cookie shaped soap. They have a large range of permanent products as well as regularly releasing limited edition seasonal ranges that are around for a while and mini collections that are a lot more limited and sell out fast. Their website is here but this collection isn’t available until February 19th. They do a Soap Box that’s released every few months before each of the main collections is released, normally for the seasons so four times a year. As I live in the UK this has taken a while to get here, if I believe the postage sticker thing then over a month as it says 2nd January postage so that’s worth knowing if you’re worried about it arriving if you order it in the future. The box contains 8 -10 samples of a range of products, one in each of the scents that’s going to be released in the upcoming range. Included in this are two full sized products; one of their fortune cookie soaps and a small size of the OCD hand sanitizer. They used to only sell this size but have recently started to sell a larger version too.
Each of the seasonal collections has another theme alongside normally, this time it’s Let it Grow which I think it based around something Dr Seuss related if I remember correctly, maybe someone can tell me which one as I can’t find it after looking online for a bit. I don’t know what it’s based on so I won’t get any in jokes and none of them really stand out as obviously to do with anything Dr Seuss that I remember.
It’s that time of year when all the Christmas ranges are released and I got the Fortune Cookie Soap soap box for the Christmas collection in the post this morning. I haven’t had a chance to really try any of these but these are my first impressions. I’ve done quite a few Fortune Cookie Soap preview box posts before but if you don’t know what they are they contain a range of products in the different scents for the coming season. There’s always at least two full size products, one of them is a fortune cookie soap and the other is a small bottle of the hand sanitizer. They send them out four times a year before each of the big collections if you subscribe, you can find more about past boxes on their website here.
This Christmas the theme is Elf, which I love and I’m really looking forward to these products, especially having seen the names, as I love candy scents and I’d expect there to be a few of them in this box. This collection is going to be released at 6pm PST on November 13th, so tomorrow, which is late at night if you’re in the UK. It’s a bit late doing this as it took a while for it to travel to the UK from America.
Fortune Cookie Soap is a company that I’ve reviews products from in the past, they’re based in America and sell bath and body products. They have a box of samples they release as a preview for each of the collections they release in the year and you can sign up here for future boxes, the Christmas one will ship on 2nd November. These boxes have a range of products in sample sizes as well as two full sized products, sometimes new product types are introduced in them. This box was a separate collection to the normal subscription and is for Halloween with a Zombie Survival Kit theme. I like the names and product scents in their collections, they normally have a range of scents and the names fit well with the theme.
I normally find that the Halloween scents and collections are some of my favourites, there’s always some mulled fruit scents and spicy smells that I really like. Zombie Survival Kit seems like a great theme, and it’s more specific than just Halloween. The added extra this time was a plaster, though I don’t know what colour it is it looks like it’s a dark one with maybe a pattern on. I’m keeping it for if I ever need it, it’ll be a bit different than the normal coloured ones I have.
